Valerie is an experienced glass artist with an extensive knowledge of glass. In addition to residential projects, she has created numerous church windows and taught hundreds of students in the art of stained glass. An inspired designer, she effectively translates customers’ wishes into works of art.

Recent projects include a set of fifteen windows for Northminster United Church in Peterborough as well as a restoration of 120 year old leaded window in the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Steve joined the business in 2005 and has acquired many skills, not only in stained glass creation but also in the design field, quickly able to produce ‘just what the customer wanted. Having trained in Computer Technology, Steve is also the go-to guy for Hues In Glass’ technical and computer needs.

Steve is our mainstay in the art of sand-blasting and has designed and blasted many unique panels and gifts for special occasions.

As an aside, Steve is also our resident ninja, being a Third Degree Black Belt in Karate and Orange Belt in Jiu-Jitsu and will, no doubt, be our salvation come the Zombie Apocalypse.

Richard, the newest member, joined the team in 2009. Besides assisting Val & Steve in whatever areas they require help, he is the main customer contact. This is not to say he isn’t also skilled in stained glass artform. After starting stained glass in 1989, Richard has added to his skill set continually and is now instructing as well as creating works of art.

Richard is first and foremost a ‘people-person’ and will always try to go the extra mile in helping customers and students with any problem they encounter.
